Columbus-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is planning its first Nashville restaurant.
Ocean Prime will open in 10,000-square-feet of the Nashville Yards project in 2025, marking the brand’s 21st location.
He found it at Nashville Yards, a 19-acre development at the entrance to Music City’s downtown.
Ocean Prime will occupy the corner of Church Street and Platform South, described as one of the key arrival points into the project.
The restaurant will seat more than 370 between its inside space and roughly 2,400 square feet of covered patios. Private dining options will hold from eight to 12 for smaller events and between 35 and 45 in the larger private space.
Ocean Prime’s upscale menu melds prime steaks and chops with fish, seafood, sushi and more.
“Ocean Prime is the perfect anchor to our collection of highly curated culinary offerings which feature a unique blend of local, regional and national brands and varied genres,” AEG Vice President Real Estate Development Ted Tanner said in a release.
Los Angeles-based AEG is co-developer of the project alongside Southwest Value Partners.
Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has a portfolio with over 20 restaurant brands spanning more than 15 states, and counting.
Ocean Prime will join Nashville Yards’ food and beverage scene which includes the recently opened Crisp & Green and acclaimed chef Sean Brock’s forthcoming Bar Continental.
Founder and CEO Cameron Mitchell said the company has been looking for the right spot in Nashville for more than a decade.
