Salt Lake City-based sister hat businesses to open in March in downtown development

Nashville Yards has landed Gigi Pip and Two Roads Hat Co. as its first soft-goods retailer, with the headwear business slated for March opening.

Gigi Pip and Two Roads will collectively occupy more than 2,000 square feet of space at the base of The Everett, one of Nashville Yards’ two soon-to-open residential towers. Each store will have its own entrance and will be connected by a “custom hat bar,” which will allow individuals and groups to have their hat style, size and shape customized.

The Gigi Pip and Two Roads shop will face the downtown development’s live music venue, The Pinnacle. A key area for Nashville Yards, which includes the two Amazon towers and the high-rise housing the Grand Hyatt hotel, is the intersection of 10th Avenue North and Commerce Street.

The cost to get operational and the terms of the lease with Southwest Value Partners, the owner and developer of Nashville Yards, were not disclosed in a release.

Married couple Ginger Parrish and Jon Parish founded the parent company of both Gigi Pip and Two Roads in 2015 in Salt Lake City, with the Nashville shop to be the entity’s second bricks-and-mortar offering. Coy Whitter serves as president of Two Roads. The two sister brands specialize in Western hats.

“Gigi Pip and Two Roads are known for their classic, timeless hats, and the cool, confident vibe of their loyal customers,” Cary Mack, managing partner of Southwest Value Partners, said in the release.

“Ginger and Jon Parrish have a terrific vision and two unique brands that are a great fit for Nashville Yards. We are excited to have them on board and as they bring what will be destination shopping experience to Music City.”

Leasing is underway for apartments at The Everett, which will open in December and offer 361 one- and two-bedroom residences. Nearby food and beverage options will include the forthcoming Culaccino, Ocean Prime, Earls, and Fogo de Chão restaurants. Crisp & Green, a health-centric fast-casual brand, and The Urban Juicer operate in the base of Amazon Tower 1.

In the lease transaction, Gigi Pip was represented by John Schisler of Ojas Partners, and Southwest Value Partners was represented by Carrie Bobb of Foundry Commercial.
