The nation’s 12th Grand Hyatt location opens in downtown Nashville Thursday with nearly 800,000 square feet of guest rooms, meeting space, dining areas, lounges and spa amenities.
The 25-story building’s open-air lobby references the area’s historic railroad lines, at Broadway and 10th Avenue, and looks out onto Union Station and CSX Transportation’s busy track in the Gulch.
Rail-inspired art, dark wood and luxurious railcar-inspired lounges are accented with gold chainmail curtains and glittering string lights that hang from the ceiling.
“This is a destination for Nashville,” said Joe Bucher, director of strategic design for developer Southwest Value Partners. “We want people to feel free to walk in here and use the space.”
